Rich Dad Poor Dad

Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!

RDPD is really the book that started it all for me. I was always interested in Financial Freedom and the author (Robert Kiyosaki) did a great job in relating that message to me. When I first started to have this kind of idea about retirement early and achieving financial goals at an early age,  I thought it was an impossible idea to achieve. Robert did a great job of story telling. I felt that I can absolutely relate to the characters’s mindset in his book. The book gives me so much motivation. It gives me a light in the tunnel and I felt like I can achieve whatever I want in life. You should give it a try.

Bogleheads’ Guide To Investing

The Bogleheads’ Guide to Investing

For me, Bogleheads’ Guide To Investing is an easy to read, comprehensive guide to investing. It is relatable to investors of any experience level, and would be a good choice for a first investment book. It’s organized in a number of short chapters. Language is light-hearted, plain, simple and easy to understand. It provides a lot of basic information in a lot of subjects. If you are a visual learner, there are a lot of charts that are well-presented. You also can find tons of  practical advice and examples, and also touches on the emotional aspects of investing.

I have read lot of books on investing before the Boglehead’s Guide, there was little new in this book. However it was one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read for its organisation and good humor. It would be an excellent first investment book, and one of the few books in the Book List that I would recommend to anyone. This book really captures what the diehard philosophy is all about.

A Random Walk down Wall Street: The Time-tested Strategy for Successful Investing

I love this book because it showcase the history of the stock market from the time when it freshly started including great explanation about each time when the market crashes. In today’s daunting investment landscape, the need for Burton G. Malkiel’s reassuring, authoritative, and perennially best-selling guide to investing is stronger than ever. A Random Walk Down Wall Street has long been established as the first book to purchase when starting a portfolio. This new edition features fresh material on exchange-traded funds and investment opportunities in emerging markets; a brand-new chapter on “smart beta” funds, the newest marketing gimmick of the investment management industry; and a new supplement that tackles the increasingly complex world of derivatives.
