Hello TheMoneyTools family. Welcome back to my blog. Being a full-time pharmacy director, I struggle to find time for my blog. If you are someone who has a full-time job and a family, it is a real struggle to find any time to do anything else. You already feel like you are drowning.  Am I correct?

I have tried waking up early, doing it while at work, or adding more time after work. Nothing feels efficient, and nothing has worked.

For me, I have discovered that my problem isn’t the fact that there isn’t enough time. My problem is giving myself too much time and getting distracted easily. Lately, I have tried a different method to manage my time better: I ask myself what I would do if I only had 3 hours a week of blogging. Here is the answer I want to share with you:

The first hour: Produce high-quality content for your blog.

Yes, this is my absolute goal. Put your phone away, and avoid any distractions as you possibly can. Within this hour:

  • Create something that helps solve someone’s problem.
  • Create with intention. Be passionate and straight to the point.
  • Don’t treat it like a task that needs to get done.

To start, I use Google Keyword Planner to see what topic people most search for within my niche. For example, if you type “How to start Blogging” in Keyword Planner, you see that the “Average Monthly Search” is between 10K-100K. This means that there is a good market, and you are catering the contents towards something people are looking for.

The Second hour: Focus on the Marketing Plan to promote the content of your blog.

The sad truth is: no matter how good your content is, no one will look at it if you don’t know how to bring it in front of people’s eyes. I have tried many marketing methods in the past, but the method that produces the most success for me is Pinterest.

My result within the past 30 days is shown below ( Nov 23rd to Dec 23rd, 2022).

Here are the TOP 5 STRATEGIES that help bring traffic to my Pins:

  1. Get my website certified on Pinterest
  2. Design eye-catching traffic using Canva.
  3. Link your blog post to the Pins
  4. For each blog post, I make about 5 to 6 Pins.
  5. Create and post often: at least once every other day

The last hour: Improve the design of your blog

I spend a lot of time making my blog more attractive and user-friendly. To make something better, you must know what is wrong with it or what needs improvement. The two resources that I definitely recommend to get more feedback about your website are:

Google Analytics

Google Search Console

These two free Google resources give me a ton of feedback on the performance of my site.

In conclusion

Blogging is a long journey. It requires a lot of determination. Most people are impatient and give up within the first month because they can’t get immediate results. If you are someone who still wants to pursue blogging (even as a hobby), please give my 3-hours method a try. I hope my advice works for you. If not, please share your method with me in the comment below.
