Hello TheMoneyTools family. Welcome back to my blog. Quora is a great way to advertise your blog. I started Quora in 2017 but only heavily focused on it within the past 5 months. Before I speak more about this, I want to show you my current credential on Quora so you understand that I know what I am talking about.
How to write a post on Quora?
This one is easy. Once you are on the home page (the little house Icon), you will see a writing box next to your profile picture “ What do you want to ask or share”
From here, you can do 3 things: Ask, Answer, or make a Post to share with the community.
Ask
Once you type your question under the search box, the system will automatically bring up any relevant questions similar to yours.
Most often, others will already ask this question, and there are answers. Pick a similar question that has answers, so you don’t waste your time.
Tips on getting good answers quickly
- Make sure your question has not been asked already
- Keep your question short and to the point
- Double-check grammar and spelling
Answer
If you click “Answer,” it will open up another browser window.
On the left side, there are THREE things you can do:
“Question for you”: Based on the contents you posted in the past, your interests and “Topic you know about”, Quora will share similar questions that they think you can help answer. Ask you can see in the example above, all my questions are about how to blog.
“Answer request”: These are questions that someone specifically requested your answers based on your past content. An answer request occurs when you post a new question and click on someone in the list of names Quora pops up. This then appears as an “Ask To Answer” (A2A) in that person’s feed.
“Draft”: You can go back and finish the incomplete answer.
How to write a good answer on Quora to get more views and Upvote?
The following tips will help you:
- Length: Don’t write short answers like a couple of sentences. Your answer needs to be at least 200 to 300 words.
- Structure: A good short essay needs Intro, Body, and Conclusion. Even one sentence in the intro will help organize the content better.
- Grammar: Make sure you double-check before publishing. Bad grammars turn the reader away.
RECOMMENDED TOOL:
The best tool I have been using to check my grammar for all my content is Grammarly. The basic version is free to you. I signed up for the Premium because I use it so much, plus it has additional features such as the web browser PLUGIN that fixes my grammar as I write this blog on Google Docs. I am not affiliated with Grammarly, so I don’t get paid to recommend this tool.
- Picture: Yes, you need good graphics to help readers visualize your answer. A lot of people are visual learners.
RECOMMENDED TOOL:
I use Canva to create all my blog graphics. Yes, it is an affiliate link, but I have subscribed to Canva for over 4 years now, and I have positive results to show. You can sign up using my link here.
- Outbound links: If you embed too many links within your content, the Quora algorithm might flag it as SPAM. However, you are allowed to cite your source by clicking the button as shown below. Having a good citation can make your answer more credible and professional.
In Conclusion
Focusing on Quora can definitely increase your blog traffic. Don’t give up if you don’t get any instant results. It takes time to build an audience, and it will definitely be paid off in the long run
