“I Like Scary Movie” interactive art experience in LA was fun, interesting and not that scary at all. The whole art set up was designed in a way that visitors can take the best photo in the most creative way.

I like scary movies experience review

Venue Details

The Desmond5514 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90036

Ticket

You can get ticket through ShowCLix. You have to pick what time slot you want to visit. They do that to prevent too many people show up all at once because it could take away the experience if the group was so crowded.

Parking

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. There were plenty of free parking meters around the location. We were lucky to get a good meter right next to the venue. If you go on a weekday, there are plenty of public parking spots around the area as well and it was not too far distance of a walk.

Interactive Experiences

If you like horror movies, you will be in for a good treat. Beetlejuice, The Lost Boys, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining, and It: Chapter One were the focus of the museum.

There were about 6 to 8 persons in a group. Started with The Shining, we could take as much time as possible to take pictures. The rule is simple: touch the art gently and you can’t come back once you leave the room.

We took about 2 and a half hour.  There was a little shop at the end for you to buy souvenirs such as t-shirt, dolls,…

My only wish is that they added more movies to the museum. The venue was huge. They had so much space to put more stuff in it if they wanted to. The last room was somewhat disappointing because it was just a giant box of noodle.

The best area was the Beetle Juice rooms. There were two of them, plus many props to play and take photo with.

Below are a few pictures from our visit. Enjoy
