As I was writing this blog, we were still staying at the Doubletree hotel. We booked the hotel for my fiance’s birthday and it was a pleasant stay. Let’s dig right into it.
PRICE
We found this hotel deal on Priceline.com 3 months prior to our events for $95.20 a night. Normally, the room cost about $112 if you book a month ahead of time. With tax, the total was $211.34. It wasn’t a bad deal considered the location and the quality of the room.
Location
We chose this hotel because it was close to the two spots that we wanted to go: 30 miles to Disney Land and 30 miles to The Queen Mary. Traffic in LA was always hectic and last night rain did not help either. Uber cost $20 to get to Disney Land and we glad we used it.

Room
Our hotel room located on the fifth floor. King size bed was very comfortable. The room was nice and clean. It even came with a vanity table. My fiance loved it since she needed a spot to get ready.
Cons
1) Wifi was not free. Only Honored membership came with the free wifi.
2) If you have a car, parking was not free. Per night, self-parking was $21 and valet parking was $26.
3) The bathroom didn’t have a fan.
4) The bed only had 4 small pillows and the pillows were too soft. I preferred harder pillows because I needed to sleep at a 45-degree angle. When we called for extra pillows at 1 am in the morning, the front desk said there were no more pillows. It was hard to believe that the hotel ran out of pillows. We think the staffs were lazy and did not try to help since it was super late at night.
5) Hot water took a long time to warm up and we thought it did not work after waiting for 5 mins.
Overall
We enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree hotel. We definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
