Google Adsense is complicated. Today I am going to share some of what I have done so far in order to get the approval from Adsense.

WHAT I PREVIOUSLY DID WRONG.

When searching Google for information about this topic, it’s important to realize that there are differences between “How to Add Google Adsense to WordPress” and “How to connect to WordPress”. What we are trying to accomplish is “How to Connect Adsense to WordPress.”

I am currently use a child theme created by Child Theme Configurator Plugin and pasted the code in the header using the Insert Headers and Footers Plugin. There was still no sign of Google Adsense approval after almost a week of waiting. BlueHost Customer service couldn’t even locate the code any where in the header HTML section. I think it was because I used the Insert Headers and Footers Plugin.

CORRECTION.

I went to Tools–Child Theme–Files, and Copy Header.php to Child Theme. After that, Appearance–Theme Editor–Select Theme Header on the right side bar, and insert the code between the <head> and </head> tags. When I did that, BluHost Customer Service was able to see and located the HTML code I put in.

HOW TO POST “AD CODE” CORRECTLY

I want to point it out that this code is completely different from the code I used to connect WordPress to Adsense. Follow “How to Properly Add Google AdSense to Your WordPress Site” by wpbeginner.com to get this task done.
